The Dilemma of the Alcoholic Marriage

Every aspect of a relationship takes on the nature of a dilemma when one or both partners are alcoholic. Here, the relatives and friends of alcoholics openly and honestly talk about their marriages and dealing with problems primarily involving sex, communication, maturity, feelings, personalities, security, and independence. Together, these Al-Anon members encourage the reader to "let the understanding, love, and peace of the [Al-Anon] program grow in you one day at a time."

Paths to Recovery: Al-Anon's Steps, Traditions, and Concepts

From the Introduction: "We all come to Al-Anon because our lives have been affected by the disease of alcoholism. Many of us enter these doors feeling defeated by this disease. We have spent our energies trying to get an active alcoholic to stop drinking or otherwise control his or her actions; we may have spent much of our lives struggling with the effects of growing up in an alcoholic home. No matter what our individual situation is, in Al-Anon we discover that we are not alone and that a different way of life is available to us through the Twelve Steps.

Blueprint for Progress: Al-Anon's Fourth Step Inventory

This revised and expanded workbook has a number of new topics including fear, anger, control, intimacy, sex, finances, and spirituality.

"This book is helpful for anyone wanting to make positive changes in their lives and gain a better understanding of why they think & feel the way they do. Awesome self evaluation/discovery tool!"
